The producer of this CD, Sally Yasukawa, is an Acupuncturist, Qi Gong Healing Therapist, Bodyworker, Metaphysical Teacher and Healer. Studying with The American Imagery Institute in the late 80s, and in particular with Dr Don Pachutta of The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sally was introduced to the power of imagery in healing.

The Journey

Diana Vela has been a spiritual and transformation master instructor for over 30 years, and it really shows on this very good meditation CD. Personally, it is the best I have come across. I like it firstly, because it is different, but also because it has a focus on the body and specifically, our connection with our organs ie. the heart, the lungs, the stomach, the back.

Wisdom of the Heart

Wisdom of the Heart combines Indian Mantra, Bansuri Flute, keyboard and harmonic vocals which invite the listener to go deep into their hearts to explore their inner sanctuary. When I listen to this music, it makes everything else seem inconsequential – and I mean Everything.

The Quietening

‘Open your heart to the quiet within’…the beautifully serene, mellow piano music you hear on The Quietening (so aptly named) was composed at some of Richard’s favourite locations including the Bunya Mountains, The Glasshouse Mountains, Noosa Hinterland and Coolum Beach.

Tribe World Ensemble

David Pendragon is an independent music producer/sound engineer living in Canberra who used the internet to create this album - a collaboration of musicians from across the globe. Each of the musicians involved are artists well known in their own communities for their musical expertise on instruments such as violin, cello, sitar, guitar, lap slide guitar, drums and percussion, Native American flute and many others.

Healing Music

The first words that came into my head when I started to play this beautiful CD was angel music. Truly sublime, heavenly, of-another-world – words can really not adequately describe. If you want to experience another realm, this music will take you there.

Aqua – Celestial Dreaming

Specifically created to take the listener on an instrumental only musical journey, Elvina and Daeva have produced a beautifully blended sound on each of the 4 tracks that combine the Navajo flute, concert flute, energy chimes, Celtic harp, and guitar with the wonderful recordings of the local east coast Humpback whales. Aqua is a perfect CD for use in meditation and massage rooms, taking the listener gently and easily into the depths of inner peace and expansion, reflecting the call of the whale song.

Richard Goldsworthy has chosen the solo piano as his instrument to reflect how he feels and relates to the world. Born in the tropical north of Australia and bought up in the rainforest, Richard draws the inspiration for his music mostly from the unique beauty of the Australian landscape.

Sacred Earth’s beautiful music continues in this fourth album with Prem and Jethro’s smooth blend of voice and flute. I was quite startled to hear the introduction of trumpet on Track 2 but found it also complimented Prem’s voice well.

The Journey Home

What I have found in reviewing meditation CDs particularly, is that it is a very personal choice. What resonates with me may not work at all for you. But the things that I find really affect my ability to mediate when getting assistance from a CD are the pitch of the voice, the speed of delivery, the words used, the space between sentences, and the background music
