Bach Flower Remedies are the vibrational essences of flowers, the most commonly-known being the Bach Flower blend ‘Rescue Remedy.’ Developed in the 1930s by Edward Bach, a British doctor, homeopath and bacteriologist, they are a form of alternative medicine inspired by the principles of homeopathy. Through his lifetime’s work and research, Dr. Bach found these essences helped to ease emotional states.
While Dr. Bach was himself a homeopath, he felt even that was too complicated. He wanted to simplify the procedure, and he did — which is why he lived just long enough to finish his work with these flower remedies. What he developed was a simple form of vibrational medicine. One way of making these healing essences, for example, is to put the flower into the cleanest and purest water possible, contained in a glass bowl, and let sunlight shine onto the flower and the water, so the energy from the flower infuses into the water.
When taken, these remedies work in a very subtle manner on your emotions, and often, you do not even notice the difference until you realise that the emotional problems that you had, are gone.
Dr.Bach, like so many other wakening health practitioners, understood the ancient teachings ie. that unresolved emotions and feelings that are negative to the body’s wellbeing will eventually manifest into disease, in one way or another. In particular, stress is an emotional state which, left unattended, will manifest into a physical ailment. We are even seeing studies that tell us that as many as 90% of all diseases result from stress factors. For that reason, using flower remedies for regular emotional and physical maintenance is most beneficial.
What do Sound Therapy and Bach Flower Remedies have in common?
Sound therapy is similar to Bach Remedies as it is vibrational in essence, and can help to heal stress and emotional difficulties. We live in a vibrational world at its core, and through personal experience, I know that flower essences can help certain emotional feelings. Also (through personal experience), I can see that certain sounds help emotions and stress. For that reason, sound therapy and the Bach remedies have much in common.
Put simply, your body responds well to some vibrations and rejects other vibrations.
Again, for thousands of years there has been awareness of this, with ancient cultures using sound to heal certain areas of the body, internal organs and emotional problems. Today, with the advance of technology, we can pinpoint certain frequencies found in the natural world and the aspects of the body to which they correspond.
Frequencies and the Body
“Alpha waves in the human brain are between 6 and 8 hertz. The wave frequency of the human cavity resonates between 6 and 8 hertz. All biological systems operate in the same frequency range. The human brain’s alpha waves function in this range and the electrical resonance of the earth is between 6 and 8 hertz. Thus, our entire biological system — the brain and the earth itself — works on the same frequency. If we can control that resonate system electronically, we can directly control the entire mental system of humankind.”
~ Nikola Tesla ~
There are many frequencies to consider here but let us just look at two:
128 Hz can be used in the form of a weighted tuning fork to help ascertain whether a bone is fractured or not. The 128 Hz tuning fork can also be used to help grounding and relaxation. The 128 Hz frequency also makes cells release nitric oxide into the body.
In 1998 Robert F Furchgott, Louis J Ingnarro, and Ferid Murad discovered that our cells produce and release nitric oxide. This was such a groundbreaking discovery in science, they won the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
So when the cells are producing nitric oxide we can experience enhanced cell vitality, vascular flow and heart healing. Nitric oxide destroys bacteria and viruses at a micro level which naturally enhances our immune system and increases our ability to prevent and fight infections. It also increases resistance to stress and gives greater levels of energy and stamina. It also sharpens mental clarity and diminishes states of depression due to the balancing of the autonomic nervous system, and improves digestion and natural cleansing. This is just one frequency out of the many that we live in.
Another frequency is the Schumann resonance, which is 7.83 Hz and is the frequency of the earth. This falls into the category of the Alpha frequency range of the brain which is 7.5 to 12.5 Hz. This frequency is about synchrony and coherence.
Unfortunately in today’s madhouse of a world, many people rarely experience the alpha frequency range in their brains for sustained periods of time, because of the way we are forced to live. Stressful thoughts, continuous motion and never having time to take for yourself will always drive you away from this very beneficial frequency. I believe there is no chance coincidence that the resonance of the earth, and our ideal frequency for the brain are in the same frequency range. Sound therapy gives you that deeper feeling of a relaxed state and eases your brain into the alpha frequency. Ilchi Lee calls it the zero point. Through the use of sound and meditation, we can get our brains into this frequency and experience the synchrony this gives us. You will find peace here, where you are undisturbed by thoughts and emotions.
Tuning Forks and the Body
As explained earlier, tuning forks can be used to stimulate areas of the body and bring them back into frequency.
In the west in particular, we seem to have lost the science of the energy body, with the meridian lines, acupressure points and chakra system being just as important to look after as your flesh, bones and muscles.
With the use of tuning forks, frequencies around the body can be stimulated to ease them back into the correct resonance. The different frequencies of each fork can also help to diagnose problems with certain aspects of your life. For instance, we have the 741 Hz frequency, which may be out of resonance with your body, and when detected, can be bought back into resonance. This is a frequency about solving problems, and expressions and solutions to those problems.
On occasion, with regard to people I have treated, these have been so accurate, that the problems seem to have disappeared after a few treatments. Sometimes it is identifying the problem that can help one to solve it by addressing it. The body is a complex vehicle of many different frequencies and vibrations, but there seem to be constants to certain aspects to health and wellbeing.
Tuning forks help to bring the body into that healing zone, where your body can heal itself, as it is intended to do.
Your body is an expert healer by itself. Unfortunately the way we live today, and our traumatic past with wars, famine and disease, we have lost sight of this simple fact. We also have lost sight of the fact that our bodies are also designed to move, and simple exercises like stretching, Ki Gong or Tai Chi are also important to keep the body in optimal condition. Sound therapy is another way of dealing with the energetic body.
Why use Sound Therapy?
Stress, emotional problems and difficult circumstances can all start to eat into our health and wellbeing. We sometimes can’t find ways of dealing with these problems in our everyday lives. This is of no fault of our own, it is simply how human beings are living at this particular time. As more people become aware of this, things are slowly changing.
Sound Therapy will help you rediscover the way that you can be, and help you find that zero point, the place where you can see things more clearly. People have described having a clearer viewpoint of their life after just a few sessions, which helps them go on to creating a better life for themselves. Sound Therapy is a great way of easing you out of stress, emotional difficulties and even bad situations.
